El Paso STRONG

This design was inspired by my home town’s strength that so beautifully emerged after the horrific event that occurred on August 3rd, 2019. As a result of an act of hatred, 23 lives were tragically lost and dozens were injured on that day. Through the pain, the El Paso community came together to spread love and help one another through such a difficult time.

This was created for Golly Be Jolly Creative, a creative project established by Yvonne Martinez and Betsabe Dixon in 2018.
